Embark on a campus tour, meet students and faculty, gain your admission now 

San Francisco State University is ready to show you a brighter future. The annual Discover SFSU open house will take place Saturday, Oct. 17, 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Our campus is at 19th and Holloway avenues in San Francisco — one of the world’s most creative and innovative cities. 

SFSU offers nationally acclaimed programs that span over 65 majors serving about 20,000 students. Ranked by The Wall Street Journal as the 22nd best university in the U.S. for social mobility, SFSU puts you in position for a successful career. What to expect at Discover SFSU

Discover SFSU is for: 

  • High school seniors and transfer students interested in applying for Fall 2027 
  • Students who have already applied for Fall 2027 
  • Students admitted for Spring 2027 
  • And your family! 

You can spend your day exploring our campus and meeting the faculty, staff and peers who will shape your college journey. Students will lead you on a tour through our lush gardens and inside our residence and dining halls. Learn about academic programs and student life directly from students who will share their experiences inside and outside the classroom. Meet with admission experts who can answer your questions, explain the application process and help you understand your next steps. Connect with financial aid counselors to learn about the grants and scholarships that make SFSU one of the most affordable universities in California. Take home complimentary Gator merchandise. 

Thousands of future Gator students from throughout the Bay Area bring their families to Discover SFSU every year.

“Coming to Discover SFSU can help make the college decision feel a little less overwhelming,” said Christian Flower, a Business Information Systems major. “You’ll be able to ask the questions that matter to you, learn more about your major, explore campus and get a better understanding of what life as an SF State student is really like.”

You can apply for Spring 2027 admission through Thursday, Oct. 15. Interested in enrolling at SFSU for Fall 2027? You can begin your application now; submit it during the priority application period through Monday, Nov. 30. Visit Cal State Apply now to start your application to SFSU.
