Looking for an affordable college education that can open doors to a successful career? San Francisco State University welcomes applications for fall 2027 admission beginning Thursday, Oct. 1.

Only the California State University minimum eligibility is required to gain admission — no need to submit essays, SAT or ACT scores or letters of recommendation. In addition, we offer guaranteed admission to all eligible military veterans and foster youth, graduating high school students in the San Francisco Unified School District and transfer students from Community College of San Francisco.
