SF State Magazine's fall/winter issue available
Stars of both the outer space and Hollywood variety highlight the new fall/winter issue of SF State Magazine, now available online and at locations around campus. San Francisco State University astronomer Stephen Kane, a pioneer in the search for earth-like planets orbiting distant suns, is the focus of the magazine's cover story, while four-time Oscar nominee (and SF State graduate) Annette Bening pops in to offer advice on the acting life.
Other features include a peek at the surprising treasures in the University's archives, a look back at the origins of SF State's creative writing program and an in-depth profile of alum Taylor Safford, CEO of PIER 39.
Copies of the fall/winter issue are available for free in the lobby of the Administration building and at the Cesar Chavez Student Center Information Desk. Two electronic editions are also available, one online and the other formatted for the iPad. The online version can be found at www.sfsu.edu/~sfsumag/
The iPad app can be downloaded at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/sf-state-magazine/id516395204?mt=8
