Members of the public and prospective students who wish to earn academic credit during the summer may register for classes beginning April 16.

This summer’s schedule offers more than 640 classes, including popular courses in biology and business as well as many General Education courses required to graduate.

"SF State offers hundreds of classes during summer session, giving students the opportunity to accelerate their studies and move closer to graduation," said Linda Buckley, interim director of the College of Extended Learning and associate vice president for Academic Planning and Development. "An added benefit is that summer session course fees were not increased, and are the same as fall 2011 fees."

Students must register and pay for summer session classes through SF State’s College of Extended Learning. Classes will be available in four sessions: June 4 to July 6, June 18 to August 10, July 9 to August 10 and June 4 to August 10.

Fees are paid after registration, and students will be notified by e-mail about payment deadlines. Financial aid is available but is limited. For more information about financial aid, visit http://www.sfsu.edu/~finaid/newsummer.html
