Registration for Winter Session starts Nov. 2
Students and members of the community can choose from nearly 60 classes, many available online, during Winter Session at SF State.
Students don’t have to wait until summer to get a jump on graduation
Winter Session is a chance for San Francisco State University students to move one step, or four units, closer to graduation. Students can choose from nearly 60 classes, 18 lower division and 38 upper division, offered during December and January.
Students can enroll in two separate sessions, and registration begins Nov. 2. A class schedule has been posted online.
Winter Session is open to the community as well as matriculated students. It’s a great way for prospective students to meet faculty and get acquainted with the campus. Credits obtained during Winter Session can count toward degree requirements. Classes are offered on campus and more than 35 are available online, so students enjoying winter break outside the Bay Area can enroll and progress toward graduation.
“Winter session is a time when prospective students, or students starting in the spring semester, can get a head start at SF State and become part of the community,” said San Francisco State University Dean of the College of Extended Learning Guido Krickx. “For current students, it’s a time to either take that one course that did not fit into their schedule before, or get ahead and take a course that will accelerate their work toward their degree.”
Classes are held during two sessions: Dec. 21 through Jan. 18 and Jan. 2 through Jan. 18. More information can be found online at cel.sfsu.edu/winter.
