Media Advisory: SF State's Romberg Tiburon Center to host 'Marine Science in Action' Discovery Day on April 25
WHAT: San Francisco State University's Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies (RTC) 25th annual Discovery Day Open House
The public is invited to a behind-the-scenes look at the scientific research conducted at the only academic marine science lab on the San Francisco Bay. This year, visitors are invited to act as marine scientists, participating in research projects that explore the San Francisco Bay's marine life and water.
Discovery Day will also feature a touch tank with live animals and plants from the San Francisco Bay and short, informal talks on RTC's current research.
Admission and parking (for bikes and cars) are free.

The Romberg Tiburon Center for Environmental Studies (RTC) is San Francisco State University's marine field station located 30 minutes north of San Francisco on the Tiburon Peninsula. The Center is the only academic research facility situated on San Francisco Bay. SF State scientists pursue their research in laboratories at the Center, at field sites around the world, and through collaborations with colleagues at other universities and institutions. The Center provides SF State students with graduate- and undergraduate-level courses as well as practical experience gained through research.
