More than 20,000 will be on hand as University graduates record number of students

SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, 2013 -- More than 20,000 people are expected to gather to celebrate the largest graduating class in San Francisco State University's history at this year's Commencement on Saturday, May 25. Larry Baer, president and CEO of the San Francisco Giants, will deliver the keynote address.

The University will graduate a record 8,738 students during the ceremony. Student speaker Kathleen Downing will give remarks on behalf of the student body. Community leader and philanthropist Adele Corvin will receive an honorary degree from the California State University and SF State.
