Media Advisory: SF State to hold open house for admitted students

University to host more than 7,000 visitors, including students and families, during Sneak Preview

 

SAN FRANCISCO, April 8, 2013 -- San Francisco State University will host more than 7,000 visitors, including undergraduate students admitted for the fall 2013 semester and their families, as part of its annual Sneak Preview open house on April 13.

Students and families will be able to take tours of the campus, on-campus housing, library, classrooms and labs as well as receive information about financial aid and accept their admission offer. More than 200 academic departments and campus organizations will have tables on the quad. An "academic showcase" highlighting various University departments and programs will also take place across campus throughout the day.

SF State received nearly 54,000 undergraduate applications for the fall 2013 semester, of which a little more than half were offered admission. The University expects roughly 7,000 new undergraduate students to enroll for the fall.
