Statement about Yuchuan Guo

We are deeply saddened at the news of this senseless and tragic incident, and offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family, friends and loved ones of Yuchuan Guo during this extremely difficult time.

Mr. Guo was enrolled in the master of arts program in International Relations and attended SF State from spring semester 2011 to the fall semester of 2013, and then again from fall 2015 through fall 2016.

The University, in coordination with the Chinese Consulate, is working closely with Mr. Guo's family to assist them in whatever way possible during their time here until their safe return to China.
