Provost Search Launches

The search for the University’s next provost and vice president for Academic Affairs has launched. Our national reputation for academic excellence and social justice and our role as an engine of educational equity makes us uniquely attractive to potential candidates, as does our location in one of the world’s most vibrant cities. The search committee, co-chaired by Vice President Jamillah Moore and a faculty member, will identify the best finalists for the University community to interview in March, hopefully on campus. Serving on the search committee will be:

Teddy Albiniak
Robert Bonner
John Gates
David Hellman
Ellen M. Hines
Rama Ali Kased
Misty Kuhn
Katynka Martinez
Jamillah Moore
Katie Murphy
Eugene Sivadas
Maika Watanabe
Lori Beth Way
Yumi L Wilson
Darlene Yee-Melichar
Two representatives from Associated Students

SF State has engaged Academic Search to help build a rich, diverse pool and to facilitate the search process. Academic Search has a long history of successful searches for senior academic leaders, as well as working with the CSU. Information about the finalists and opportunities to meet them will be shared next semester.
