Air Quality Update: Thursday and Friday, Oct. 1-2

Dear Campus Community,

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is reporting air quality conditions for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 1-2, in the city and county of San Francisco that are in the range that is unhealthy for sensitive groups.

All classes, virtual and face to face, will take place as planned.

Sensitive groups should consider limiting outdoor activities. Children, older adults and individuals with heart and lung disease are considered especially sensitive and should remain indoors.

For those on campus, a supply of KN95 particulate masks is available for voluntary use. Students living on campus who are sensitive to smoke, visit your residence hall’s community desk to pick up a mask. Faculty and staff on campus may go to Environment, Health and Safety located in ADM 260 to pick up a mask between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily this week.
