The president and Mrs. Wong met with the principal and students at Jose Ortega Elementary School, which is located close to SF State, just off of 19th Avenue. On behalf of the SF State community, they brought ten boxes full of notepads, pens, pencils, craft supplies and balls for outdoor play. The supplies were collected at the president's faculty and staff holiday reception in December, where guests were invited to bring donations to help local children.
