CSU chancellor visits SF State
California State University Chancellor Timothy White visited SF State this week, part of his statewide tour of the 23-campus CSU system.
During the two-day visit White met with students, faculty and staff, took a tour of the campus and learned about academic and student life programs as well as the current issues facing the University.
On Tuesday, White met with the Academic Affairs Council and Academic Senate and enjoyed lunch with student leaders before taking a tour of the J. Paul Leonard Library and other campus facilities. In the evening he met with faculty and staff at a reception in Jack Adams Hall, followed by a student reception held near the residence halls.
The visit continued Wednesday morning as White attended a research and scholarship forum, which gave students and faculty from several campus departments an opportunity to share their latest work with the chancellor. White then spoke with members of the local media before concluding his visit by meeting with the President's cabinet.
White's service as CSU chancellor began last December.
